Essay presented in 2007 for the conclusion

of the 3D Computer Graphics postgraduate course

at Senac University Center.

         After research on prototyping equipments

most suitable for jewellery manufacturing, a jewel

was created, considering the best use of this

technique, in order to minimize interference with

the necessary manual work.

         The silver ring with black diamonds and 

dark smoky quartz, was designed on the

computer and produced using rapid prototyping.
